At Actors Giving Back, we believe that young performers and their families deserve accurate information, ethical treatment, and a safe environment in which to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry. Unfortunately, not every organization operating within the talent development community follows the same standards of transparency, professionalism, or legal compliance.

To help address this issue, Actors Giving Back has partnered with other trusted nonprofit organizations, industry advocates, legal professionals, and community leaders who share our commitment to protecting young actors and promoting accountability throughout the industry.

As part of our Industry Integrity Initiative, we actively monitor trends, investigate concerns brought forward by families, and review the practices of entertainment companies that market services to young performers. Our goal is not to target legitimate businesses, but rather to encourage compliance, promote ethical standards, and help families make informed decisions when selecting training programs, talent services, showcases, management companies, and other industry-related opportunities.

Our advocacy efforts focus on a variety of areas, including compliance with state and local laws, child labor protections, licensing requirements, advertising practices, contractual transparency, and consumer protection standards. We believe that families should have access to clear, honest information and should never feel pressured into making decisions based on misleading promises or unrealistic expectations.

When concerns arise, we work to educate families about their rights, provide resources and guidance, and when appropriate, encourage organizations to correct practices that may not align with legal or ethical standards. We also collaborate with industry professionals and community partners to promote best practices that support the long-term well-being of young performers.

At its core, the Industry Integrity Initiative is about creating a safer, more transparent entertainment industry—one where families can confidently pursue opportunities knowing that accountability, integrity, and the protection of young talent remain a priority.

Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, Actors Giving Back is helping raise the standard for the entire talent development community while empowering families with the knowledge they need to navigate the industry responsibly.
